Oriental Accent, Inc. is a Chinese family business headquartered in the United States that traces its beginnings to P.K. Chow in Beijing, China in 1880. His son, C. J. Chow, continued the business and was followed by his son, S.Y. Chow, whose business is the S.Y. Chow Antiques and Curios of Hong Kong and Los Angeles, California. Trea and Richard Yip, his daughter and son in law, established the U.S business in 1979 in Dallas, Texas. Trea Yip named it Oriental Accent, Inc. They and other family members, family associates, sales, and management executives constitute the current corporate executive management team.

Oriental Accent operated as three separate divisions under the name Home Accents by OAI. The divisions were RC Creations. Accentuate, and Accessory Accent.
To serve their customers better, Oriental Accent, Inc. returned to the exclusive use of
the corporate name, Oriental Accent, Inc. in October 2000. They no longer operate as Home Accents by OAI and
they no longer divide the company into Accessory Accent, RC Creations, or Accentuate.
Oriental Accent Inc. is back to being one Company with one stop shopping in one full line showroom at all of the major Markets.
